This festival aims to showcase the beauty and diversity of the eight states of the Northeast - Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sikkim. PM Modi has named these states as 'Ashtalakshmi'. A variety of activities are being organized in this event to promote economic opportunities in sectors such as traditional handicrafts, handlooms, agricultural products, and tourism.
