Mumbai: The new government was sworn in on Thursday in Maharashtra. During this, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister. Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. Problems will definitely arise between us but we will find a way out together and take Maharashtra forward.
He became CM for the third time.
Let us tell you that Devendra Fadnavis has become the Chief Minister for the third time in the last 10 years. Earlier hewasn the CM from 2014 to 2019. After this, he became the Chief Minister for a few hours in 2019. After this, Fadnavis has now become the CM. During this, from 2022 to 2024, he has also held the post of Deputy CM.
Shinde remained CM for two and a half years.
Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde was the Chief Minister in the 'Mahayuti' government for about two and a half years from June 2022 to December 2024. During this time Devendra Fadnavis from BJP was the Deputy Chief Minister. Later Ajit Pawar from NCP also became the Deputy CM in the government. After this, in the 2024 assembly elections, when the Mahayuti got a huge majority and BJP alone won 132 seats and came close to the majority. After that BJP decided to make its own Chief Minister and Devendra Fadnavis became CM from Deputy CM.
