However, Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital has taken effective steps for diseases caused by pollution. A special clinic has been started in RML for pollution-related diseases. Patients will be able to come to this clinic opened in the name of Pollution-related Disease Prevention Center once a week on Monday. This clinic will run from 2 pm to 4 pm in OPD room number 1 to 5 located on the ground floor of the hospital. Here, not only will the patients get treatment, but they will also be given information about how to take care of themselves in pollution.

Regarding this, Dr. Amit Suri, HOD and clinic in-charge of Respiratory Medicine Department of RML Hospital said that RML is the first hospital in Delhi where a special clinic is being run regarding pollution. Patients who fall ill due to pollution can come here for treatment. People who are already suffering from breathing problems, asthma, lungs, or any other respiratory disease, and their disease has increased due to pollution can also come to this clinic. He further said that doctors from 5 departments will sit. Usually, diseases related to these are caused by pollution. If a patient is found to have diabetes, hypertension, or any other disease apart from these, then the doctor related to that disease will be called immediately.

1. Avoid going out, especially in the morning and evening
2. Use N95 or N99 mask
3. Eat nutritious food and drink more water
4. If you have difficulty in breathing, contact a doctor immediately
5. Install air purifiers with HEPA filters in the house
