Why do we celebrate Partition Horrors Remembrance Day?
Let us tell you that in 1947 when the British divided India and created a separate Pakistan, a large number of people had to suffer. Due to the riots, lakhs of people had to be displaced. Hundreds of people lost their lives in this. Remembering the sacrifice of those people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to celebration of 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' every year on 14 August.
