Mallikarjun Kharge on PM Modi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday (September 4) fiercely attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government. He said that Modi failed miserably in protecting the people of Manipur. He criticized that the double-engine government did nothing to reduce the violence in Manipur.

Mallikarjun Kharge said that it has been 16 months since Manipur has been hit by violence, but Modi's 'double engine' government has done nothing to reduce it. No measures have been taken that instill confidence among people of all communities to ensure peace and normalcy.

The question raised on PM Modi

Kharge also questioned PM Modi for not visiting the state since the turmoil began in the state. He said, 'Modi ji, why have you become so heartless? Why did you not bother to step into the state? It is because of your arrogance that people of all communities are facing problems. Your government's incompetence and shamelessness have not been able to start even a basic peace process.
