Waqf Board: The Waqf Board has claimed 300 acres of land of farmers in Latur, Maharashtra as its own. A petition has also been filed in the Aurangabad court regarding this, which will be heard on December 20. After this claim of the Waqf Board, there is an atmosphere of fear among the farmers of Talegaon. They have asked the government to intervene. The Waqf Board of Sambhajinagar has claimed 300 acres of ancestral land of 103 farmers in Ahmedpur. The farmers have been asked to present their views by sending them notices.
The Waqf Tribunal has claimed the land of 103 farmers of Talegaon under petition number 17/2024 in the Aurangabad court. Individual notices have also been issued to the farmers. After this notice, there is an atmosphere of fear in about 75 percent of the village. Regarding this matter, 'All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen' leader Mohammad Ismail said that if the farmers claim their land, then they should show the papers. But if it is Waqf land, then they have the right to issue a notice to take back their land. There is nothing wrong with this. He further said that the Tribunal Court should see who has the ownership papers of the land. If that place is in the Waqf register, then if not today, then tomorrow that place will have to be returned. But if the land belongs to the farmers, then give those papers. According to the rule, whoever has the papers will get the right to this land.
BJP accused of forceful occupation of Waqf
On the BJP's allegation that the Waqf is forcefully occupying the land of farmers and temples, the AIMIM leader said that this is just an allegation, no one in the whole country can tell a single incident where the Waqf has forcefully taken the land of a temple. But we are being persecuted based on the claims being made about mosques and dargahs.
