New Delhi. India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has reached Pakistan's capital Islamabad to attend the SCO meeting. During this time he also met the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, but when it was his turn to speak at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization conference, he said no without naming China and Pakistan. As per its habit, Pakistan muted his speech and tried to corner India along with China, and China, without naming India, said that it would protect Pakistan's sovereignty on its own.
Jaishankar washed away Pakistan and China.
Host country Pakistan had invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meeting but India decided to send External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar instead of PM Modi. Jaishankar reached Pakistan in his own style, met Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif there, and also attended his banquet but when the opportunity to speak came, he lashed out at Pakistan for terrorism and showed China the mirror of its expansionist policy.
He made it clear that the SCO talks about respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty and this has to be taken care of. Earlier, during his US visit, he had said in a separate statement that China had violated the agreements related to peace and stability on the border and spoiled the atmosphere.
The dragon said he would protect Pakistan himself.
This statement of the Indian Foreign Minister hurt both Pakistan and China. China is being represented by its PM Li Qiang. Apart from this meeting, Li Qiang met Shahbaz Sharif, and the delegations of both the countries also met and issued a 30-point joint statement in which the Kashmir issue was deliberately included. The 25th point of the statement says that the Kashmir issue should be resolved under the UN Charter. Both countries should resolve this issue peacefully. In it, China has also tried to threaten India that China will protect the sovereignty of Pakistan. Although India's name has not been taken in it, but the hint is clear.
40 percent of the population in SCO
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation covers 80 percent of Eurasia and 40 percent of the world's population. It has 9 member countries including India, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Iran and Uzbekistan. Afghanistan and Mongolia have observer status. Its purpose is to promote peace, security, and stability among member countries as well as cooperation at technical, cultural, economic, and political levels. There is also a responsibility to work together in areas like environmental protection, education, tourism, and energy, but countries like China and Pakistan use this platform to fulfill their personal interests and indirectly attack India.
