Let us tell you that this is not the first time that a case of firing on non-Kashmiris has come to light in Jammu and Kashmir. Even before this, non-Kashmiris have been targeted by terrorists many times. Last week, there was news of a person getting injured in firing in Batagund Tral. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment in an injured condition. Recently three such cases have happened. This means that with today's incident, a total of four such cases have come to light in which terrorists targeted non-Kashmiris.
After the decline in organized terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, incidents of target killing are being reported continuously. Last year also, terrorists selectively killed non-Kashmiris in different areas. Many incidents of target killing were reported in Anantnag, Pulwama, and Poonch.
How many cases before this
In February this year, terrorists carried out a targeted killing in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir and shot two people of the Sikh community in the Habba Kadal area. Amritsar residents Amrit Pal and Rohit were killed in this attack. Earlier, on the morning of February 2023, terrorists killed Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma in Pulwama. In May 2023, terrorists shot dead a man living in Anantnag.
