Lucknow: Hotel Taj located in Gomti Nagar of Lucknow, the capital of UP, has received a bomb threat. This threat was given through email. According to information received from the police, the email mentions the presence of bombs at several places on the premises of the Taj Hotel. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and sealed the entire hotel. A dog squad has also been called to the spot.
Initial investigation has revealed that some mischievous element has sent threatening emails to spoil the atmosphere during the festive season. Let us tell you that earlier on Sunday (27 October) also, similar threats were given to 10 hotels in Lucknow. However, no suspicious object has been found yet. At present, police and security agencies are investigating the matter. Earlier, many threats have been received to blow up big and famous hotels in Rajkot, Gujarat.

The 10 hotels that received bomb threats on Sunday include Marriott, Circa, Piccadilly, Comfort Vista, Fortune, Lemon Tree, Clarks Avadh, Casa, Dayal Gateway and Sylvette. The bomb squad conducted a thorough search of these hotels, but all the threats were found to be baseless.

The email said that if the ransom of $55,000 (about Rs 4,624,288) was not paid, there would be an explosion. The threat said, "Bombs have been hidden in black bags in your hotel premises. I want $55,000, or else I will explode and there will be blood everywhere. If anyone tries to defuse the bomb, it will explode."
