Another big achievement has been registered in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. Today he has completed 23 years of Jansena while holding a constitutional post. He took charge as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on 7 October 2001. After successfully holding the post of CM for 13 years, he has been holding the reins as the Prime Minister of the country for more than 10 years. This is Narendra Modi's third term as Prime Minister. On completing 23 years of Janseva, PM Modi has made a series of tweets on the social media platform 'X'.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on 'X', "Heartfelt gratitude to all those who sent their blessings and good wishes on my completion of 23 years as the head of the government. On October 7, 2001, I assumed the responsibility of serving as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. It was the greatness of my party to entrust the responsibility of leading the state administration to a humble worker like me." He further wrote, “When I took over as Chief Minister, Gujarat was facing many challenges - the 2001 Kutch earthquake, a super cyclone before that, a severe drought, and the legacy of Congress's misrule of many decades of loot, communalism, and casteism. With the power of Jan Shakti, we rebuilt Gujarat and took it to new heights of progress even in a sector like agriculture, for which the state was not traditionally known.”
"For the first time in 30 years, a party got absolute majority"
PM Modi said, "During my 13 years as CM, Gujarat emerged as a shining example of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas', ensuring prosperity for all sections of society. In 2014, the people of India gave a record mandate to my party, enabling me to serve as Prime Minister. It was a historic moment, as for the first time in 30 years, a party got an absolute majority." "In the last decade, we have been able to address many challenges facing our country. More than 25 crore people have been freed from the clutches of poverty. India has become the 5th largest economy and this has especially helped our MSMEs, startup sector, and others. New avenues of prosperity have opened up for our hardworking farmers, Nari Shakti, Yuva Shakti, the the poor as well as the underprivileged sections of society," the PM said.
"Our country is being looked at with great optimism"
He said, "India's developmental progress has ensured that our country is viewed globally with utmost optimism. The world is eager to engage with us, invest in our people, and be a part of our success. At the same time, India is working at a massive scale to overcome global challenges, whether it is climate change, improving healthcare, realizing the SDGs, and much more." Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Much has been achieved in the last few years, but there is still a lot to be done. The learnings in these 23 years have enabled us to take pioneering initiatives that have made an impact nationally and globally. I assure my fellow Indians that I will continue to work tirelessly with even greater zeal in the service of the people. I will not rest until our collective goal of a developed India is achieved."
