Famous folk singer Sharda Sinha, awarded with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, has been put on ventilator due to her health deteriorating on November 4. She was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi on Monday after her health suddenly deteriorated. She has been admitted to AIIMS hospital in Delhi for two weeks. The folk singer was earlier admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi on October 27 due to bone marrow cancer. Sharda Sinha has been suffering from Multiple Myelomas since the year 2017. Sharda Sinha is admitted to the Oncology Medical Department of AIIMS.

Singer Sharda Sinha's son Anshuman has given his mother's health update. Anshuman said that her condition is very bad. Doctors are trying. He has also asked to pray for the singer. Sharda Sinha, popularly known as Bihar Kokila, is a popular folk singer and classical singer. She hails from Bihar. She is known for singing Maithili and Bhojpuri songs. Some of her popular works include 'Vivah Geet' and 'Chhath Geet'. She has also been awarded Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan in 2018 for her contribution to music. This year, Sharda Sinha's husband Braj Kishore Sinha died at the age of 80, after which her health also deteriorated a few days later.
