According to the order of CAQM, education up to class 12 will be conducted in 'hybrid' mode in Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar districts of Delhi-NCR. In compliance with this order, the Delhi government has directed all government, government-aide,d and private schools to run classes for students in hybrid mode with immediate effect. This decision was taken after the Supreme Court order on November 25, in which the court had asked CAQM to review the GRAP restrictions. It also said that education should be given priority.

The Supreme Court had said in its comment, "Many students are being deprived of mid-day meals because schools and Anganwadis are closed." Apart from this, the court also said that many students do not have facilities to take online education and many educational institutions do not have online education facilities. The court said, "Many students do not have air purifiers in their homes, so for the,em there can be no difference between sitting at home and going to school."
