What is hydraulic failure
The airport has been prepared for a belly landing, however, the option of fuel dumping was not adopted due to the plane passing over a residential area. The failure of the hydraulic system in the plane means that the system controlling important parts like landing gear, brakes, and flaps is not working properly. Meanwhile, the District Collector of Trichy said that there is no need to panic about the condition of the plane and it is likely to land safely. As a precaution, ambulances and rescue teams have been kept on standby at the airport.
