Jagan Mohan Reddy has written a letter to PM Modi regarding the Tirupati Balaji temple of Andhra Pradesh. In this letter, he has said that the allegations made about adulteration in the Prasad of this temple are completely baseless. Chandrababu Naidu has made these allegations for political gain. He should be reprimanded for this and the whole truth of the matter should come out.

Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that during the previous government, adulterated ghee was used in the prasad prepared in Tirupati Balaji temple. He claimed that the lab test had found that animal fat was found in the ghee used for preparing the prasad. After his revelation, there is an uproar and there is talk of action against the culprits. Meanwhile, the previous government and opposition parties have termed the allegations as false. The Union Health Ministry has sought a report from the state government on this matter.

What was written in the letter?

The letter written by Jagan Mohan Reddy to Prime Minister Modi said, “Chandrababu Naidu is a pathological and habitual liar who has stooped so low as to hurt the faith of crores of people for political purposes. Naidu must be severely reprimanded for his shameless act of spreading lies and that the truth be brought out. This will remove the doubts created by Naidu in the minds of crores of Hindu devotees and restore faith in the sanctity of TTD.”

The ghee tender was changed after 50 years.

A government company of Karnataka used to supply ghee to Tirupati temple for a long time. However, due to shortage of money, the company refused to supply ghee. In such a situation, the YSRCP government decided to buy ghee from five private companies. It is alleged that after this the taste of the prasad deteriorated. On investigation, it was found that the ghee used in the prasad was adulterated. Adulteration was found in the ghee of one of the five companies. However, the company says that after investigation, it had sent a tanker of ghee with the report.
