In a shocking incident in India's Silicon Valley- Bengaluru-a couple discovered a live cobra inside a package they had ordered online from Amazon on Sunday.
According to an India Today report, the couple, both software engineers, had ordered an Xbox controller but were stunned to find a spectacled cobra inside their package.
Fortunately, the venomous snake was stuck to the packaging tape and couldn't cause any harm.
Soon after discovering what they hadn't expected, the couple, who live on Sarjapur Road, recorded a video and shared it on X (formerly Twitter).
The video quickly went viral and garnered the attention of many.
"So Amazon is now also delivering cobras, which is why Amazon is the leader in online shopping," a user wrote.
"Direct from the Amazon rainforests," another commented.
Meanwhile, the company responded to the video, stating, "We're sorry to learn about the inconvenience you've experienced with your Amazon order. We'd like to have this checked. Please share the required details here, and our team will get back to you soon with an update."
The report further said that the couple received a complete refund but remained dissatisfied with Amazon's handling of the situation.
