Minimum wages for workers increased.
Let us tell you that now the minimum wage of unskilled labourers will be Rs 18,066, which was earlier Rs 17,494. Semi-skilled labourers will now get Rs 19,929, which was earlier Rs 19,279. Whereas, the minimum wage of skilled labourers has become Rs 21,917, which was earlier Rs 21,215.
A direct target for BJP
Let us tell you that in her first press conference after taking charge as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi said that the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Arvind Kejriwal has implemented the minimum wage for workers in the city, which is the highest in the country. Accusing the BJP of being "anti-poor", she claimed that the minimum wage in the states ruled by the BJP is "half of the wage being given in Delhi."
CM Atishi said the Kejriwal government not only implemented the minimum wage through the court but also ensured its revision twice every year despite the "hurdles" created by the BJP.
