Mumbai: The new government was sworn in on Thursday, 13 days after the results of the Maharashtra assembly elections. During this, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister for the third time. The broken tradition
It has been a tradition in Maharashtra for many decades that the leader of the opposition also attends the swearing-in ceremony of the new government. In 2019, when the Uddhav Thackeray government was sworn in, Devendra Fadnavis attended the program despite being in the opposition. But this time this tradition was broken. From the opposition side, neither any leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) nor any leader of NCP (Sharad faction) and Congress attended.

Those who attended the oath ceremony included CMs of all BJP-ruled states, NDA leaders like Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu, and many Union Ministers.
