Zomato's Deepinder Goyal has just announced a "cool new update" on X for customers. Now, they can view the total number of orders they have placed on the app.

"You can now see the LIVE order count on @zomato for the day, right after you place your order. I just placed an order at around 11 am, and the count was already over 250,000," Deepinder Goyal on X on Friday.

Zomato has been experimenting with various features.

The Gurugram-based food delivery startup started testing a 'pay later' feature for some users.

In April, Zomato launched a "large order fleet" for group orders or events.

The company also planned to enter the catering business using its network of restaurant partners.

On March 20, it introduced a dedicated fleet for vegetarian customers but later reversed the decision due to backlash.

"We believe that we can continue to grow faster than the overall restaurant industry if we continue to innovate using our customer-first principles while creating value for all our other stakeholders our restaurant partners, and our delivery partners," Goyal had said in a letter to shareholders.

Zomato's gross order value in the food delivery business increased to ₹ 6,569 crore in the March quarter from 5,853 crore a year earlier but decreased from 6,680 crore the previous three months.
