Gurugram-based watertech startup Boon (erstwhile Swajal) has secured Series A funding of $5 Mn(around INR 41 Cr) in a mix of debt and equity infusion
"We are planning to deploy the fresh capital to enhance our technology and expand services globally with a major focus on North America and South East Asia markets. This infusion will also help us develop platforms for water purification management," cofounder Advait Kumar told Inc42.
The company claims to have raised around INR 60 Cr (around $7.1 Mn) till now.
Founded by Kumar and Dr. Vibha Tripathi in 2015, Boon offers water purifiers and dispensers with Al technology which assess equipment health and suggest maintenance measures like alerting the user about purifier servicing. With its loT- technology, Boon claims to offer real-time quality and quantity assessment of drinking water.
