New Delhi: The market capitalization of the top 10 companies of the Sensex has decreased by Rs 1,65,180.04 crore in the last week. In the last week, the valuation of a total of 8 companies declined, while only two companies registered an increase in their market cap. Private sector HDFC Bank and public sector SBI have suffered the most in this decline. The markets were closed on Friday, November 15 on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, and since this day the Sensex has fallen by 1,906.01 points (2.39%).
HDFC Bank and SBI suffered the most in this decline, whose market cap decreased by Rs 46,729.51 crore and Rs 34,984.51 crore respectively. HDFC Bank's market capitalization fell to Rs 12,94,025.23 crore and SBI's to Rs 7,17,584.07 crore. Apart from this, Hindustan Unilever's market cap fell by Rs 27,830.91 crore to Rs 5,61,329.10 crore, while Reliance Industries ' market capitalization fell by Rs 22,057.77 crore to Rs 17,15,498.91 crore.
However, the two companies increased their market cap despite this decline. The market cap of Infosys increased by Rs 13,681.37 crore to Rs 7,73,962.50 crore and that of Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS ) rose by Rs 416.08 crore to Rs 15,00,113.36 crore.
Reliance Industries still remains the most valuable company among the top 10 companies of Sensex, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank , Bharti Airtel , Infosys, SBI, ITC , LIC , and Hindustan Unilever .
In the new week, shares of Neelam Linens and Garments will be listed on NSE SME on November 18, while Mangal Compusolution will be listed on BSE SME on November 20. Shares of Onyx Biotec will be listed on NSE SME on November 21.
