New Delhi: Every month, some rules keep changing. This time too, some rules are going to change in November. 10 rules are going to change from LPG gas cylinders, and petrol-diesel to electricity bill payment. 1. Rules for paying the electricity bill
Rules related to electricity bill payment may change. You may have to pay an additional penalty for paying the electricity bill from November 1. Smart metering systems are being implemented in some states which will make the electricity bill payment process more transparent and automated.
2. Health and life insurance
The rates on life insurance and health insurance may change from November 1. It is expected that their GST rates may be reduced. In such a situation, the cost of insurance premiums may be reduced.
3. New prices of LPG gas cylinders
Like every month, this month too, the rate of LPG gas cylinders can be changed. After this, the new rate of gas cylinders can be released on November 1. The price of commercial cylinders has increased by Rs 48, which can affect small businesses and restaurants. There will be hope for relief as the price of domestic gas will not increase.
4. Petrol and diesel rates
There may be a change in the rates of petrol and diesel from November 1. It is expected that the prices of fuel may come down due to the fall in the rate of crude oil. In such a situation, the cost of driving a vehicle will be reduced for the common people.
5. Link Aadhaar to a bank account
It is necessary to link the bank account with the Aadhar card. The bank accounts of those who do not do so can be closed. Link your bank account with Aadhar before 1st November. Along with the bank account becoming inactive, the benefits of government schemes can also stop.
6. Free Gas Cylinder Scheme
New rules for the free gas cylinder scheme may be issued. It is being said that the process of applying for it may change. Online process may be made mandatory to get a free gas cylinder connection.
7. Changes in GST rates
There is a possibility of a change in GST rates from November 1. GST rates may be reduced on more than 100 items. This may provide relief to the common people.
8. Lower airfare
It is expected that due to the fall in the price of jet fuel, airfares may become cheaper from November 1. Especially during the festive season, one can get the benefit of a reduction in airfares.
9. Interest Rates on Small Savings Scheme
There will be no change in the interest rates of small savings schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Public Provident Fund Account, and National Savings Certificate by the government. There will be no reduction or increase in the interest rates of small savings schemes.
10. New rules related to credit card
State Bank of India has increased the credit card transaction fee. From November 1, a finance charge of Rs 3.75 will have to be paid every month on unsecured SBI credit cards. However, this charge will not be effective on defense and gallantry cards. From December 1, an extra 1 percent charge will have to be paid on utility payments of more than Rs 50,000.
