Talking about the whole month, banks will remain closed for about 15 days this month in some states, including different dates. However, despite the branches being closed, online and digital banking services will remain available, ensuring that customers can manage their finances without any interruption.

Apart from these, banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays (October 12 and 26) as well as every Sunday of the month as per the statute.

According to a Livemint report, there will be holidays in different states in the month of October. For example, Assam will celebrate Kati Bihu on October 17, while Jammu and Kashmir will celebrate Merger Day on October 26. Similarly, many states will celebrate Durga Puja and Dussehra on different dates in the second week of October.
