New Delhi: The decline in the stock market continues. On Monday also, both the Sensex and Nifty indices closed in the red. The Sensex closed down 242 points at 77,339, while the Nifty closed down 79 points at 23,454. Earlier, a huge decline was seen in the last week. Today, a huge decline has been registered in Nifty IT.

Top Gainers Stocks

Today, Tata Steel shares registered the highest gain of 2.35%, after which it closed at the level of 141.21. After this, M&M closed at the level of 2,847 with a rise of 1.42%, while HUL shares closed at the level of 2,423 with a rise of 1.42%. Apart from this, Nestle India closed at the level of 2,213 with a rise of 1.40%, while the shares of State Bank of India ( SBI ) closed at the level of 814.30, strengthening by 1.25%.
 

Top Losers Stocks

In today's trade, due to the decline in the IT sector, TCS fell the most by 3.05% and closed at 4,020, while Infosys shares weakened by 2.85% and closed at 1,811. After this, Tech Mahindra closed at 1,661 with a decline of 1.59%, while NTPC shares fell by 1.56% and closed at 366.70. At the same time, Bajaj Finserv shares weakened by 1.46% and closed at 1,616.

Nifty IT sees huge fall

On Monday, the highest gain was seen in Nifty Metal, while Nifty IT closed at the lowest. Nifty Metal closed 1.90% stronger at 8,997, while Nifty IT closed 0.56% higher at 23,044. After this, Nifty Bank closed 0.37% stronger at 50,364. On the other hand, Nifty Pharma closed 0.96% lower at 21,544 and lastly Nifty IT closed 2.32% lower at 41,407.
