New Delhi: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has made serious allegations of collusion between Samsung, Xiaomi, Amazon, and Flipkart. The report says that secret agreements of these companies are harming customers and ending fair competition in the market.
The secret game of Amazon-Flipkart
According to a report, CCI's investigation has found that companies like Samsung and Xiaomi have entered into secret agreements with Amazon and Flipkart. These online platforms make special deals to exclusively launch and promote products of brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme, Motorola, and OnePlus, causing losses to other companies.
Violation of competition law
CCI's 1,027-page report has revealed that Amazon has violated the Indian Competition Law in connivance with these companies. At the same time, similar allegations have been made against Flipkart, which is ending free and fair competition in the market.
Exclusive deals: Harmful to customers
CCI Additional Director General GV Shiva Prasad has said that these exclusive contracts are not only harmful to the customers but also eliminate healthy competition in the market. Such agreements go against the interests of consumers and deprive them of fair price and quality.
