Real Estate : Real estate company Godrej Properties has added six new plots in the July-September quarter for the development of residential projects worth Rs 9,650 crore as part of its expansion plan amid strong demand. Godrej Properties is one of the leading real estate developers in the country. It has a significant presence in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune and Bengaluru. To expand the housing business, Godrej Properties acquires land through direct purchase as well as partnerships with landowners for joint development.
In its latest operating data for the July-September quarter, Godrej Properties said it has added eight new plots in the first six months of the current fiscal, with a total estimated saleable area of around 11 million sq ft and a total estimated booking value potential of around Rs 12,650 crore.
This includes the addition of six new land lots in the second quarter of the current financial year, with an estimated booking value of Rs 9,650 crore. Godrej Properties said it has already achieved 63 percent of its annual target for new business development (land acquisition).
"Our business growth of Rs 12,650 crore in April-September will ensure that we continue to have a strong business not only for the current year but also for the years to come," said Gaurav Pandey, managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Godrej Properties. This includes several projects on the prestigious Golf Course Road in Gurugram, he added.
