In the afternoon trading session, Nifty crossed the level of 23,750, while Sensex was trading above 78,400, which shows a rise of more than 1 percent in both the indices. However, due to profit booking in the last trading session of Tuesday, both the indices closed with a slight increase from their previous close.
Today, the BSE benchmark Sensex closed at 77,579 with a gain of 240 points or 0.30%, while the Nifty closed at 23,518.50, strengthening by 65 points or 0.28%. Due to the rise in the stock market after almost 8 days, happiness was seen on the faces of investors. During this time, the market cap of the company listed on BSE registered a jump of Rs 6 lakh crore, after which it became Rs 435.08 lakh crore.
These stocks played an important role in the growth.
Today all 30 companies of BSE closed in the green. Among these, Mahindra & Mahindra shares saw the highest jump of 3.59%, which closed at 2,949. After this, Tech Mahindra closed at the level of 1,700 with a gain of 2.34%, while HDFC Bank shares strengthened by 2.18% and closed at the level of 1,742. Apart from this, Sun Pharma closed at 1,777 with a gain of 1.69%, while Titan Company shares closed at 3,225 with a gain of 1.66%.

Reliance Industries Limited ( RIL ) played an important role in creating pressure in the stock market. Its shares fell by 1.52% and closed at the level of 1,242, while SBI fell by 1.39% and closed at the level of 803. After this, Tata Steel weakened by 1.24% and closed at the price of 140. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki shares closed at the level of 10,959 with a fall of 1.22%, while Bajaj Finserv slipped by 1.22% and closed at the level of 1,596.
Heavy drop in metal
Among the sectoral indices, Nifty Auto closed at 23,360 with a gain of 1.37%. Nifty Pharma closed at 21,769 with a gain of 1.04%. Nifty IT closed at 41,748 with a gain of 0.83%. Bank Nifty closed at 50,627 with a gain of 0.52%. On the other hand, the biggest decline was recorded in Nifty Metal, which closed at 8,920 with a loss of 0.85%.
