New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received an order of ₹642.57 crore from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) for a power infrastructure project. The project covers loss reduction works in high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) infrastructure under distribution infrastructure development in the state's central sector. The scheme is being implemented under the 'Reform-based and Result-linked, Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme' (RDSS), which aims to make the power distribution system in Punjab more efficient.
RVNL said in a regulatory filing that it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the project from PSPCL. This development work is important for increasing the efficiency of the distribution system and efforts will be made to reduce losses in high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) areas.
