It closed at 9,008 for the day, but remained in a limited range for the rest of the year due to the global financial crisis.

This time the Diwali trading session is being organized on Friday, November 1. For this, the National Stock Exchange has announced the auspicious time. This time NSE will organize its annual Diwali Muhurat trading session from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Diwali trading session is considered to symbolize the beginning of the Hindu calendar year Samvat 2081. On the occasion of Diwali, the market will be closed for normal trading, but a special trading window will be open for just one hour in the evening. NSE said that the pre-opening session will be held from 5:45 pm to 6:00 pm.
