Hailing from a modest background in Phulia village, Nadia district, Majumdar's determination saw him through financial challenges, including his family selling farmland to fund his education.

In 1997, after various stints in the dairy industry, Majumdar pioneered milk collection directly from farmers in Howrah, laying the foundation for Red Cow Dairy.
His commitment to fair pricing and quality led to rapid expansion, with over 3 lakh farmers now associated with the company across 12 Bengal districts.

Today, Red Cow Dairy Dairy stands as one of Eastern India's largest dairies, boasting an annual turnover of Rs 842 crore.
With 32 chilling plants and three production facilities, the company produces a diverse range of dairy products, including curd, sweets, and cottage cheese, catering to markets beyond Bengal.
