In view of this period of instability in the market, investors have become cautious and they are thinking a lot before investing their money anywhere, while many investors have also been inclined toward a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP). In fact, for the first time in the month of October, SIP inflow has crossed the landmark of Rs 25,000 crore.
SIP investment set a record
According to the data revealed, in the month of October, the investment through the Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) was Rs 25,323 crore, whereas a month before this it was recorded at Rs 24,509 crore. At the same time, the total SIP inflow in the month of October a year was recorded at 16,928. Let us tell you that in the month of October, the inflow has increased in all 11 categories including the equity category. Sectoral and thematic funds have registered the highest investment of about Rs 12,278. At the same time, flexi cap funds have recorded an inflow of Rs 5,180 crore in October as against Rs 3,214 crore recorded in September.
Outflows in Focused and ELSS funds have been broken for the last 6 months.
Even focused funds and ELSS funds, which have been registering continuous outflows for the last 6 months, have seen investments in October. Rs 693 crore has been invested in focused funds, while Rs 383 crore has been invested in ELSS funds. Let us tell you that in the month of October, investments have been made in all debt mutual funds except medium duration and credit risk funds. At the same time, liquid funds saw the highest investment of Rs 83,863 crore, followed by overnight funds with an inflow of Rs 25,783 crore.
Hybrid mutual funds saw a growth of 244%
Talking about the hybrid mutual fund category, total investments in them grew by 244% to Rs 16,863 crore, as against Rs 4,901 crore in the month of September. Apart from this, investments in 'other' categories including index funds and ETFs grew by 620% to Rs 23,428 crore this month as against Rs 3,254 crore in September.
