Mumbai: Flight bookings between Mumbai and Chandigarh have recently seen a 350 percent increase. The main reason for this is the event of the British rock band 'Coldplay' in Mumbai and the concert of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh in Chandigarh. Fans of both these artists are traveling from different parts of the country to attend these events, which has led to a huge surge in flight bookings.
Train and bus bookings also increased.
Online travel agency Ixigo reported that Coldplay will perform at Mumbai's D.Y. Patil Stadium from January 18 to 21 as part of their 'Music of the Spheres' world tour. Along with this, Diljit Dosanjh will also present a part of his 'Dil-Uminati' India tour in Chandigarh in December. Due to these concerts, travel plans are increasing among fans. Apart from flight bookings, bookings of train and bus services have also increased tremendously.

According to the report, flight bookings to Mumbai have increased by 350 percent year-on-year, while bookings for Diljit's concert in Chandigarh have increased by 300 percent.
