Samskara Home (Marblerose Studio), founded in 2022 by sisters Raina Singhwi and Anjana Singhwi in Tamil Nadu, is a startup specializing in handcrafted Pooja and gifting essentials.

In 2023, the Indian religious and spiritual market was valued at $58.56 billion.

To tap into this market, Samskara Home offers celebration essentials for various religious communities.

After earning a management degree from PSG College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, Raina Singhwi completed an MSc in IB from Manchester Business School.

She gained experience at Google Hyderabad before joining her family business, where she now oversees the candle unit and owns a kids' lifestyle brand called Jibble & Cuzzi.

Anjana Singhwi pursued graphic and communication design at Parsons School of Design and the University of the Arts London.

With prior experience at Shark Tank US and other design agencies, Anjana established her brand experience design studio. She also ventured into custom sneaker design through her brand Sneak No More.

In 1982, the Singhwi family established Ramesh Flowers Private Limited in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The company initially specialized in dry flowers and later expanded into candle manufacturing. In 2019, the family sold the company to the Gala Group, a
prominent German company.

The Tamil Nadu entrepreneur told media, “We brainstormed various business concepts, including Samskara Home, alongside four other brands. We even explored a food venture named Innoveer Food concepts, specialising in dehydrated spices.”

Starting from a small manufacturing unit in Tuticorin with two employees, the brand recently launched preserved foliage, setting a new standard for eco-conscious offerings in the Indian market. Samskara Home officially launched in August 2022.

Their journey from Expo Mart in Greater Noida to global markets is guided by a vision to impart aesthetic beauty in homes worldwide.

Samskara now offers 400+ products including religious and spiritual essentials, and home decor items, receiving positive feedback from 3000+ customers.

Their products are available on platforms like AmalaEarth, Dusaan, Ferns and Petals, Swiggy Mini, and Amazon, with plans for further expansion.

"As we set our sights higher, aiming to achieve sales between Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore by the end of this fiscal year," said the co-founder of Samskara Home.

At Samskara Home, 17 individuals, including 15 women, form a closely-knit family.

Samskara Home aims to expand its product offerings to 900 SKUs by 2025 and plans to showcase its pooja essentials at the HGH Mumbai trade fair this year.

Raina Singhwi emphasises the brand's commitment to manufacturing in India, and adds value to customers through creativity and continuous improvement.
