New Delhi: The stock market has seen improvement on Tuesday. Both the indexes Sensex and Nifty closed with a jump of more than 0.5 percent, while trading started in the red this morning. Sensex closed at 79,477 with a gain of 695 points or 0.88%, while Nifty settled at 24,214 with a gain of 218 or 0.91%. Let us tell you that this recovery in the market has come amid uncertainty about the US presidential election. Experts believe that Nifty can continue its correction till 23,650, but closing above 24100 indicates a possible boom.
These stocks rose
On Tuesday, JSW Steel rose 4.68% to close at 999.50, while Tata Steel jumped 3.64% to close at 152.29. After this, Axis Bank strengthened by 2.85% to close at 1,172, while HDFC Bank shares rose 2.56% to close at 1,758. At the same time, IndusInd Bank shares settled at 1,090 with a rise of 2.48%.
These stocks fell
In today's trading session, Adani Ports SEZ closed down 1.48% at 1,329, while Asian Paints shares closed down 0.97% at 2,887. After this, ITC shares closed down 0.91% at 480.20, while Bharti Airtel shares closed down 0.81% at 1,578.
Big boom in metal and banking
Today, bumper buying was seen in the metal and banking sectors, due to which they closed at the top. Nifty Metal closed at 9,505 level with a rise of 2.84%, while Nifty closed at 52,207 level with a rise of 1.94%. Nifty Auto strengthened by 1.13% and settled at the level of 23,840. Apart from this, Nifty Pharma closed at the level of 22,661 with a rise of 0.10%, while Nifty IT closed flat to positive at the level of 40,425.
