New Delhi: If you are a customer of Bank of Baroda (BoB) and use a credit card to avail airport lounge access, then you are going to get a big shock after hearing BoB's policy. Bank of Baroda has made a big change in its credit card rules, which will be effective from January 1, 2025.
These conditions under the new rules
The bank has set a limit on spending on credit cards for free lounge access at domestic airports. Now cardholders will have to spend Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 in the previous calendar quarter. Only then will they get the benefit of free lounge access.
You will get this much lounge access in one-quarter
Eterna, Eterna FD, Tiara, Varunah Premium: You will get unlimited lounge access on spending Rs 40,000.
ICAI Exclusive, ICMAI One, ICSI Diamond: You will get lounge access 3 times on spending Rs 40,000.
Varunah Plus, Sentinel, Rakshamah, Yoddha, Corporate: You will get lounge access 2 to 3 times on spending Rs 20,000.
Premier, HPCL: You will get lounge access only once on spending Rs 20,000.
Avail discount on new card
The bank has given relief to new cardholders. From January 1, 2025, this condition of minimum spending for the first calendar quarter will not apply to newly issued credit cards. However, this exemption is only for new cards and will not apply to upgraded cards. This decision of the bank is to link the airport lounge access facility to the expenditure. If you use a BoB credit card, then plan your expenses keeping in mind the rules. Let us tell you that the bank has published this change on its official website and has informed the customers. In such a situation, credit card holders will have to use the facilities under the new rules.
