125 year old fair

Gwalior Fair is famous all over the country and its history is about 125 years old. It was started in 1905 by Maharaja Madhavrao Scindia I of Gwalior. Initially, it used to be a cattle fair, but with time it became the largest trade fair in the country. When does this fair start

The most special thing about the Gwalior Trade Fair is the discount on cars. The Madhya Pradesh government gives a 50% discount on road tax on light vehicles purchased in the fair premises, but the condition is that the vehicle should be registered in the RTO office located in the fair premises. Let us tell you that the Gwalior Fair starts every year in the last week of December and runs till the end of February. Last year it was a fair that started on 25 December 2023 and ran till 29 February 2024, in which trade worth about Rs 1550 crore was done.
