Uni Seoul was launched by Gaurav Karmani and Mohit Khurana in 2023. It is a quirky and affordable Korean-inspired lifestyle brand headquartered in Pune.
After college, childhood friends Mohit Khurana and Gaurav Karmani pursued different careers. Mohit delved into the tech world, while Gaurav focused on retail, securing a master franchise for Revlon cosmetics.
Recognising the rapid growth of India's Fast Fashion sector at 30-40% compared to the overall fashion growth of 6% YoY, they saw a unique opportunity to tap into the market by blending quality and functionality, inspired by the global fascination with Korean culture.
Their venture is deeply personal. Both Mohit and Gaurav hail from lower-middle-class families in Indore, having witnessed their parents' struggles firsthand. This upbringing instilled in them a fierce determination to create a better life.
Eventually, they launched Uni Seoul in 2023 with an initial investment of over Rs 2 Cr.
The venture grew to two stores, each reflecting their hard work and unyielding spirit.
