In 2010, after relocating to Hyderabad following her marriage, Naaz Anjum, a textile engineer, discovered her culinary passion. Her neighbors, especially the bachelors in her building, were captivated by her cooking skills. They not only praised her delicious dishes but also encouraged her to turn her love for cooking into a business.
It all began with simple requests for evening curries. The bachelors in her building, impressed by her culinary prowess, started approaching Naaz for her delightful dishes. As their admiration grew, so did the variety of orders, eventually leading to requests for daily tiffins.
Motivated by the positive feedback and support, Naaz took a bold step. In 2016, she initiated 'Anjum's Kitchen' as a one-woman enterprise.
'Anjum's Kitchen' quickly became one of Hyderabad's pioneering women-owned cloud kitchens, paving the way for several others in the region. The business flourished through word-of-mouth and social media, expanding its offerings to daily tiffins, biryanis, party orders, and desserts.
Today, 'Anjum's Kitchen' is a thriving culinary enterprise, receiving 25-50 daily orders and earning Naaz a monthly income of Rs 1 Lakh. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the kitchen adapted and managed over 500 orders, continuously exploring innovative approaches to provide authentic homemade and healthy cuisine to the residents of Hyderabad. Naaz Anjum's journey from a textile engineer to a successful cloud kitchen owner stands as a testament to the transformative power of passion and community support.
