It has been only a few days since the iPhone 16 series was launched and information about Apple's next iPhone has started coming out. Apple is going to make the biggest upgrade ever in the iPhone 17 to be launched next year. If the report is to be believed, the next iPhone may get an OLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. In the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus launched this year, the company has used a display with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Big upgrade in display

In the iPhone 17 series, the company can replace the Plus model with Slim or Air. Many leaked reports have already surfaced about this. Both the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim or Air models launched by Apple next year will have an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. In both the Pro models of the iPhone 16 series launched this year, the company has used an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The company will use a 120Hz display in all iPhones launched in 2025. According to a recently leaked social media post, all the iPhone 17 models coming next year will come with a pro grade display. Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultant (DSCC), has hinted that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim or Air will use a 120Hz display. Pro Motion technology will be used in this display.

Big update regarding the under-display Face ID

Apart from this, Ross Young has also clarified that under-display Face ID will not be given in the iPhone 17 series coming next year. Earlier, many leaked reports had said that Apple will use under-display Face ID in the iPhone 17 series to be launched in 2025. The company is currently launching iPhones with punch-hole selfie cameras.

This is not the first leak about the iPhone 17 series. Even before the launch of the iPhone 16 series, information was coming out about the iPhone to be launched next year. The company can provide 8GB RAM in both the base models of the iPhone 17 series coming next year. At the same time, 12GB RAM can be found in the Pro model. Apart from this, the company will use Vapor Chamber Cooling (VC) technology in this iPhone series, due to which the phone will not heat up quickly.
