In today's time, the mobile phone has become an essential device. Along with calling, it is used a lot in many tasks of daily routine. However, now the increased expensive recharge plans have become a big problem for mobile users. There are millions of users in the country who use mobile only for calling. But, due to the absence of a separate plan for calling, one has to take an expensive plan.
Is the government or telecom companies planning anything at this time that can provide relief to non-smartphone users i.e. users using keypad phones from expensive recharge plans? Now the government has clarified the matter in this regard. Let us tell you about it in detail.
Questions asked by the government
In fact, recently in a question asked to the Central Government in Lok Sabha, it was said that there are many users in the country who do not use smartphones, nor do they need any kind of data plan. Is the government making any new plans for such keypad phone users or not, has any kind of discussion taken place about this or not?
In response to this question, the Union Telecom Ministry said that at present there is no such plan and no work is being done in this direction. It has been made clear by the Union Telecom Ministry that the recharge plans currently running for smartphone users and keypad phone users will continue in the same way. This means that the government or the telecom companies are not working on any new plans for keypad phone users right now.
Increase in the number of BSNL customers.
Let us tell you that Reliance Jio, Airtel, and VI are the three major telecom companies in the country. All three companies had increased the prices of their recharge plans heavily in the month of July this year. Since the increase in prices, users of private companies are shifting towards the government telecom company BSNL. BSNL is working towards rapidly establishing its 4G network to provide convenience to its customers.
