The education department has issued a holiday calendar for holidays in all government schools and madrasas of Bihar in the coming year 2025. This time important changes have been seen in this calendar, in which the orders of former ACS KK Pathak have been overturned once again. Under which now orders have been given to keep all the schools and madrasas of the state completely closed on the occasion of the birth anniversary of great men.
When will the winter holidays be?
Apart from this, winter holidays have also been included in the list. In the coming year 2025, winter holidays in the state will be from 25 December to 31 December. At the same time, the summer holidays will be from 2 June to 21 June. Similarly, there will be holidays in schools on the day of Rakshabandhan. There will be 2 days (14 and 15 March) holiday for Holi. Schools will also remain closed for 4 days for Durga Puja. Apart from this, now there will be 10 10-day holidays in all schools for Dhanteras, Diwali, Bhaiya Dooj, and Chhath Puja.

Overall, in the coming year 2025, schools in Bihar will remain closed for 72 days, which is more than last year. In the coming year 2025, there will be 4 more days of holidays as compared to last year. In this calendar, a holiday has been given on both 6 January and 27 December on the birth anniversary of Guru Govind Singh under the NI Act. In the year 2025, 21 holidays have been given under the NI Act, while you can choose any 3 from the list of optional holidays. A total of 16 holidays have been approved under the government order. Please note that all the three holidays of the NI Act are falling on Sunday.
