New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot said on Friday that he is confident about the victory of Maha Vikas Aghadi i.e. MVA in Maharashtra. He said that after getting the majority, the coalition's constituents would not take long to decide on the post of Chief Minister. The Congress leader also said that the decision on 'who should be given which post' will not take more than a day. Let us tell you that Pilot was given the charge of the Marathwada region by the party and he campaigned vigorously in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and the constituencies where by-elections were held.

'Haryana was a shock and a huge surprise'

The Congress leader dismissed exit poll indications that the BJP-led alliance would win a majority in both states. A day before the results, Pilot said the results of the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections as well as polls in various states will give the BJP and the NDA a "reality face". On the party's prospects in these elections after the Haryana rout, the Congress general secretary said Haryana was a setback and a big surprise, but Maharashtra and Jharkhand are a "different story".

'I think we will see a change of government in Maharashtra'

Pilot said, 'Voters have a clear desire for change in Maharashtra because the 'double engine' government that was running was not meeting any of their expectations. The kind of campaign we ran, the kind of guarantees we promised, our alliance partners, the selection of candidates, our statements were positive and got a good response. That's why I think we will see a change of government in Maharashtra.' Let us tell you that Pilot held a total of 55 public meetings during the assembly election campaign, out of which more than 2 dozen were in Maharashtra alone.

'BJP has no credible face in Jharkhand'

Pilot said that a sitting chief minister in Jharkhand was put in jail on some grounds and finally got relief from the Supreme Court. He said that such misuse of central agencies has not gone down well with the voters of the state. Pilot said, 'BJP does not have any credible face in Jharkhand. I think the allies of the 'INDIA' alliance of opposition parties in both the states are in a good position to form the government.'
