In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde defeated Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray on 36 seats. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) contested on 81 seats and won 57 seats. Whereas, the Uddhav faction defeated the Eknath Shinde faction on 14 seats. Shiv Sena (UBT) could win only 20 seats despite fielding 95 candidates. Shinde-led Shiv Sena got 12.38% votes, in comparison, Shiv Sena (UBT) got 9.96% votes.

Who got how many seats?

In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP of Mahayuti has won 132 seats, NCP 41, and Shiv Sena 57 seats a (total of 230). On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) of Mahavikas Aghadi has won 20 seats, Congress 16, and NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) 10 (total 46). The remaining 12 seats have been won by other parties or independents.
