UP Police Constable Exam 2024: UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPRPB) officials said that about 21 percent of the candidates in the UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam did not appear in the exam despite downloading the admit card. About 61 students across the state were caught using unfair means during the examination. Today, the UP Police Recruitment Exam was re-conducted under strict surveillance at 1174 examination centers in 67 districts out of 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Biometric verification along with fingerprint and facial recognition of the candidates appearing in the exam was also done.

Let us tell you that the UP Police recruitment exam was conducted in February. The exam was cancelled after the question paper was leaked and after about 6 months, these exams have been conducted again. These exams will be conducted in two shifts on 24, 25, 30 and 31 August.
About 48,17,441 candidates had applied for 60,244 posts of UP Police Constable. Official senior of UPRPB confirmed that on the first day of the police recruitment exam on Friday, about 79.11% of candidates appeared in the exam. He said that about 4,09,720 candidates downloaded the admit card for the first shift, but about 3,21,265 candidates appeared in the exam. Whereas, in the second shift exam, 4,09,880 candidates had downloaded the admit card, out of which only 3,27,167 candidates reached the examination center.
He further said that- "About 78.71% of candidates appeared in the first shift exam. The first shift exam was conducted between 10 am to 12 pm. Whereas, about 79.82% of students appeared in the second shift exam. The second shift exam was conducted between 3 pm to 5 pm. A total of 79.11% of candidates appeared in the exam held on Friday. About 20.89 percent of candidates did not appear for the UP Constable exam.
He said that 32 candidates were caught using unfair means in the first shift of the exam. 29 other candidates were arrested for using unfair means in the second shift of the exam. Legal action will be taken against them.
The board had already given instructions to 20,000 candidates whose Aadhaar cards could not be verified online. Such candidates had to bring ID proof (driving license, PAN card, passport, or original UID card) to the examination centers for verification.
The UP Police recruitment exam was held on 17 and 18 February, but the exams were canceled on 24 February due to the leak of the question paper. After the leak of the UP Police recruitment exam, 178 FIRs were registered against 440 people in 41 districts across the state. 2 masterminds of the paper leak incident were arrested from Gautam Buddha Nagar. Keeping in mind the incidents of paper leak, this time a very strict vigil has been kept on the UP Police re-exam.
