Politics is at its peak regarding the by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. An interesting contest is being witnessed between BSP and Chandrashekhar Azad's party Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) for these 10 seats. While BSP has decided to contest the by-elections after a long time, Chandrashekhar Azad has also jumped into the electoral fray after getting success in the Lok Sabha. While Mayawati has announced her candidates for two seats, the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) has announced its candidates for three seats.

Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) has nominated Chaudhary Satpal from the Ghaziabad Sadar seat, Zahid Hasan from the Mirapur seat of Muzaffarnagar, and Dheeraj Maurya from the Majhawan seat of Mirzapur as its candidates. The party has said that it will soon announce the names of candidates for all the remaining seven seats.

Mayawati has made a big move

BSP has announced its candidates from Milkipur and Meerapur, in which Mayawati has given a ticket to Ram Gopal Kori from Milkipur, while from Meerapur, Chandrashekhar Azad's close aide Shah Nazar has been made her candidate. Shah Nazar is currently the District Panchayat President of BSP and he has previously been associated with Chandrashekhar Azad's party. In such a situation, in Meerapur, Mayawati has made Chandrashekhar's close aide her candidate.

Dates not announced

The Election Commission has not yet announced the dates for the by-elections on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, but political maneuvering is going on regarding this. Let us tell you that out of the 10 seats vacant for the by-election, five seats Sisamau, Katehari, Karhal, Milkipur, and Kundarki were with the SP, while Phulpur, Ghaziabad, Majhawan, and Khair were with the BJP. The Meerapur seat was with the BJP's ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD).
