The online registration-cum-application window for the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will close today, November 4. Candidates who wish to apply for this BPSC 70th CCE Preliminary Examination and have not been able to do so till now can apply immediately by visiting the official website of the commission bpsc.bih.nic.in and onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.

Remember that before applying for the exam, candidates have to create their One-Time Registration (OTR) profile on onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in. Those who already have an OTR profile can log in with their credentials and apply for the exam.

How much fee will have to be paid?

The BPSC preliminary exam application fee is ₹600 for general category candidates and ₹150 for SC, ST, female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar, and disabled category candidates.

What is the eligibility?

Candidates who have a graduate degree are eligible to apply for the exam. Before applying, they should read the post-wise eligibility criteria in the exam notification.

Earlier the last date for application for the preliminary examination was October 18, but it was later extended.

During this period, candidates can update their OTR (One-Time Registration) profile details except for name, mother's name, father's name, and date of birth. They can also update the application form except for these four columns. Recently Bihar Public Service Commission has added 70 more vacancies in the 70th competitive examination. With this, the examination will be conducted for 2,027 vacancies instead of 1,957 in various departments of the Bihar government.

Up to 8 lakh candidates can participate.

The commission expects that around 7 to 8 lakh candidates will appear in the preliminary examination. To ensure that such a large number of candidates can be properly accommodated, the commission has also postponed the exam. Originally scheduled to be held on November 17, the exam will now be held on December 13 and 14.
