The date of voting for the assembly elections in Jharkhand is now coming closer. All the political parties have announced their candidates and are busy in the election campaign. However, amid the election campaign, the Chief Minister of the state and prominent leader of the JMM party, Hemant Soren, has suffered a major setback. One of the proposers who got Hemant Soren nominated from the Barhait assembly - Mandal Murmu has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Mandal Murmu is a descendant of Sido-Kanhu
Mandal Murmu, who joined the BJP, is a descendant of Sido-Kanhu, the prominent leader who led the Santhal rebellion. Let us tell you that the Santhal rebellion took place in the year 1855. Mandal Murmu joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma in Deoghar. Let us tell you that the BJP has fielded Gamaliel Hembram against Hemant Soren in Bahrain.
If we stay united, we will be safe- CM Himanta.
Assam CM Himmat said on social media - “Today, a descendant of Sidhu-Kanhu and proposer of Shri Hemant Soren, Shri Mandal Murmu ji became a member of the BJP family. Due to the bad policies of the current government of Jharkhand, the culture of the tribal society is in crisis, hence every section of the society is joining BJP today. If we remain united, we will be safe.”
