The Staff Selection Commission has announced that the correction window for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Constable in Narcotics Control Bureau exam, 2025 will open on September 5 and close on September 7. Candidates who need to make changes to their SSC GD application form can do it at ssc.gov.in.

What was said in the notice?

SSC said in the notification, "If any correction/alteration is required to be made in the already filled online application form, candidates may use the 'Application Form Correction Window' facility for the same. Requests received after the expiry of the above-mentioned correction window for any change/correction/modification in the online application form using post, fax, e-mail, by hand, etc. will not be accepted by the Commission and will be summarily rejected."

SSC closed the online application window for the Constable (General Duty) recruitment exam on October 14. The recruitment exam will be conducted for 39,481 vacancies.

Criteria

The minimum qualification for constable vacancies is passing class 10 or the matriculation examination on or before January 1, 2025. On this cut-off date, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and not more than 23 years of age.

The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical Test/Document Verification.

Exam Pattern

The CBT will be of 160 marks (80 questions, each carrying 2 marks) and the exam duration will be 60 minutes. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
