Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar chief Sharad Pawar said in a statement on Sunday that the people of Maharashtra are eager for political change. He expressed confidence that this sentiment will be reflected in the results of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Addressing a press conference in Mumbai along with leaders of other constituents of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Sharad Pawar claimed that the state administration had lost its morale under the Mahayuti rule, while the Maharashtra administration was considered the best in the country.

"Maharashtra had the best administration in the country"

Sharad Pawar said, "We want to liberate people from the current government and I am confident that they will support us." He said that in the upcoming assembly elections, MVA will repeat the performance of the Lok Sabha elections. Sharad Pawar said that Maharashtra's administration was the best in the country. Now it has become discouraged. The kind of decisions being taken recently are like making fun of the common man. Pawar said that we are making collective efforts to liberate people from this government and I hope people will support us. Sharad Pawar also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent comment in Maharashtra, in which he said that the Congress did nothing for the Banjara community. He said that he forgot that Vasantrao Naik, who belonged to this community, was the Chief Minister of the state for the longest time.

"Why is there no discussion on the results of the Jammu and Kashmir elections?"

At the same time, Shiv Sena-UBT president Uddhav Thackeray said that in the recently held Haryana assembly elections, there is only 0a .6 percent difference in the vote percentage of Congress and BJP, yet BJP got more seats. Uddhav said why the result of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections was not discussed. After the abrogation of Article 370, the BJP should have won the assembly elections there. Thackeray said that every step of the Maharashtra government is being viewed with suspicion, such as the two arrests made in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui and even the death of Akshay Shinde, accused in the Badlapur sexual harassment case, in a police encounter.

"City witnesses rise in crime incidents"

Thackeray further claimed that Mumbai has two police commissioners, but still, the city has witnessed a rise in crime incidents. Responding to a question on the MVA's chief ministerial face for the upcoming state assembly elections, Uddhav Thackeray said that the election will be a contest between the opposition alliance and the ruling Mahayuti. He said that too et the Mahayuti declares its chief ministerial face, the MVA will also follow it.
