Politics has intensified over the violence in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has raised questions about the Yogi government. Akhilesh Yadav said about the violence in Bahraich that first of all, I would like to appeal that all concerned parties should work towards maintaining law and order. What happened is unfortunate. He said in a sarcastic tone that the administration, government, and media know why this happened. The government should do justice.
Akhilesh Yadav said that when the procession started, the administration should have taken care of its route, adequate security on the route, and adequate police deployment. If I tell what was being played on those loudspeakers, the government will say something else. But the administration should have at least paid attention to what was being played on the loudspeakers, are they insulting anyone? So the entire responsibility was of the administration and the government. He further said that such a big incident happened due to the negligence of the administration. The government, administration, and their vote bank politics are responsible for whatever is happening in Bahraich and other places.
The SP chief said that they are doing this deliberately. I appeal to the people to understand the BJP's trick, they want to take political advantage by spreading hatred and dividing the society. Police have registered a case against a person and detained about 30 people in connection with the communal violence that took place in a village in the Bahraich district on Sunday. One person was killed in this violence.
Bahraich Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla told reporters on Sunday night, "There was tension in the Maharajganj area under Mahsi tehsil. When a procession was passing through a Muslim-dominated area, a person from another community was allegedly attacked, leading to his death. After the incident, police have detMuslim-dominated people. Efforts are on to restore normalcy in all the unrest-affected areas." She said that adequate police force has been deployed in the area, and the unruly elements are being identified unrest-affected CCTV footage of violence-affected areas, and strict action will be taken against them.
