New Delhi: A YouTuber has created a 6.74-foot-long giant iPhone, the largest smartphone ever. Tech Review MrWhosTheBoss, also known as Arun Maini, has teamed up with gadget maker Matthew Perks to create the world's largest iPhone 15 Pro Max. His amazing achievement has been officially recognized by the 'Guinness World Records. This giant iPhone is an absolute feat, which also allows users to send SMS and EMAIL. With this, you can browse the App Store and take advantage of all the features of a normal phone.
How did the iPhone become so big?
In a YouTube video, the pair explains how they built this giant iPhone. According to them, the first step was to create the main screen, which involved turning an 88-inch LG Signature OLED TV into a touch-sensitive display. Perks worked with a manufacturer to create a touch foil that perfectly matches the shape of the screen. Next, they securely attached the touch foil to the display using UV epoxy, an optically transparent adhesive.
iPhone 15 Pro Max copied
The next problem was how to fit the speakers, three-lens camera set, volume and power buttons, and other special buttons into a huge frame. They created an aluminum frame with a cross-shaped support in the middle. Perks not only replicated the iPhone 15 Pro Max's telephoto lens using the Sony RX10 Mark 4, but also used the Canon EOS R5 to rotate the frame without the hassle of lifting heavy weights. It's permanently attached to a large phone stand. Apple's iOS is closed-source, it was the only one they couldn't copy. Using Android had two big advantages, they could install Flappy Bird, which real iPhone users haven't been able to play for almost ten years, and Bliss OS mimicked the iPhone's home screen with themed skins.
The YouTuber said a big thing.
Speaking to the media Manny said, "As a kid, I used to spend hours in the library reading the latest Guinness World Records books, so receiving an award feels absolutely unreal to me." He created this giant iPhone to celebrate the achievement of surpassing Apple's YouTube subscriber count.
